GUEST INTERVIEW: AMELIA LIANA
We are excited to have one of our favourite influencers Amelia Liana for our latest guest interview. Amelia lets us in on her favourite beauty trend and how she balances her private and personal life.
1. How did you get into blogging / vlogging and why beauty?
I have always loved beauty and I wanted to work in Beauty PR and during university I worked on the side for a few companies. I then started my blog and decided to see where it took me. It was the best decision I could’ve made, I love my job!
2. You make it look so easy, but we are sure it isn't, what's the hardest thing about being an influencer?
The most difficult part of my job is knowing when to switch off. I have had to schedule in off time where I'm not vlogging/snapchatting etc. Often times both social and work tend to merge into one, especially when we’re constantly surrounded by social media and it has a great impact on your job
3.What's the next trend in beauty? And how do you achieve it?
For me a statement trend will always be a glowy, yet minimal look. I think just highlighting your best features gives that naturally beautiful fresh face.
4.What is your jewellery style?
I’d say my jewellery style is day-to-night. In the sense that you’re ready for anything. By Alona manages to do this by giving edgy and yet, elegant all year round pieces l like the ADELLE choker necklace in gold which I wore all summer and through fall.
5. How do you balance your work life and private / social life?
Like I mentioned in a previous answer, I have to schedule time off to specifically not be working or on social media, as the lines tend to blur with both sides playing a role in my job.
6.If you weren't a blogger what would you be doing?
If I wasn’t a blogger, I imagine I would be in Beauty PR. It’s what I originally wanted to do. But the more I work in my field and meet my viewers, I wouldn’t even think twice about sticking to what I do.
7. How will you be spending the holiday season?
This holiday season will be a quieter one. Usually the whole family, including siblings, parents, cousins, grandparents etc. go away together somewhere. This year my sister, parents and boyfriend are all going skiing together!
